Among the judges were: Miss Hallie Hughes, Associate State 4-H Club Agent; Mrs, Mary Thompson, Associate Food Specialist; Miss Belle Burke, of Charlottesville, Former District Agent; and Miss Eva Minix, District Agent in charge of general arrangement.
Girls participating in area contest from Rappahannock were: Lelia Gentry in home improvement—giving a demonstration “Color Schemes front Rugs.”
Betty Rutherford, food preparation and giviig a demonstration on biscuit making.
Annie Dodson accompanied Betty, Lelia and the agent.
Lelia won a blue ribbon on demon- * stration and was selected area winner.
Betty won a red ribbon.
Lelia Gentry, our winner, will compete with girls from other areas, of Northern Virginia in a district contest for the honor of representing this district in state contest to be held during State 41H short course at VP I in June.
W. M. S. MEETING The Woman’s Society of Methodist Church of Flint Hill will meet December 18, at 7:30, with Mrs. Paul Miller. All members who wish to send a gift to the Methodist Orphanage w'ill bring gifts to this meeting.
