seventh grade are listed along with the staff, which gives the impression that it is a class publication, rather than that of the school, but this impression dies when the first page carries a list of birthday anniversaries for the month of November and names first, second and third grade students and on through the seventh grade.
The newspaper carries on (and only one) very conspicuous advertisement. “Buy at Lea Bros., Washington, Va. Best of quality in both goods and clerks,” says the ad (with the large word “advertisement” printed above the notation.)
