MEETING
The Woman’s Society of Christian Service of the Spesryville Methodist church met Wednesday evening with Mrs. George W. Brown. The meeting was opened by the group singing "Joy To the World." The president used as the scripture lesson Luke 2:1-20 for the devotional, after which Mrs. Brown took charge of the program using as the subject "Let Every Heart Prepare Him Room” with each member taking part in a round table discussion. Then the secretary read minutes of the last meeting and the routine business was presented. It was decided to snd a Christmas box to an underprivileged child in our community. Those present besides the hostess were Mrs. Annie T. Bruce, Mrs. Nina Brown, Miss Della .Hitt, Mrs. Sidney Perry, Mrs. Frank Jenkins, Mrs. Virginia Lewis, and Mrs. J. B. Johnson. The hostess served a salad pljrte and a social hour was spent.
