ARTISTS VISIT COUNTY
Mr. and Mrs. Horace Day of Staunton were visitors Tuesday in Washington, sketching and painting. According to Tom Massie, who watched with a critical eye, “They weren’t bad. Some of the drawing was pretty good.”
Mr. and Mrs. Day, both artists, are instructors at Mary Baldwin. Several other people have shared the boy’s opinion that they “were •not bad,” since they have had their work in numbers of art exhibiits. Mrs. Day is the former Miss Elizabeth Nottingham, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs, E. J. Nottingham, Jr., of Culpeper.
