IN MEMORIAM

In memory of my dear father, Mr. Suttie Jackson, who passed away 13 years ago, August 22, 1940. Oh, how I miss him But God loved him more And He has called him home To rest upon the shore. Bad and sudden was the call Of one so dearly Icved by all The shock was hard, the pain severe As I sat at his lied so near. And to speak - oh how he died To think he could not say goodbye. Only those who have lost can tell The pain of parting without farewell. They say time heals ail sorrow And helps to forget, But times so far has only proved How I miss him yet. God gave us strength to fight it And courage to bear the blow But what it meant to lose him No one will ever know. A loved one from our home is gone A voice we love to hear is still No one has ever taken your place And no one ever will,
