PROFESSOR BUYS FARM—~
Dr. William Y. Elliott, professor of history and political science at Harvard University and assistant director of the Office of Defense Mobilization in Washington, has just purchased from Major Howard Robertshaw the 516 acre farm in Madison county known as Hidden Valley Ranch. This is the former home of Lawton Blankenbaker. Mrs. Blankenbaker, the former Frances Bruce, was a Rappahapnock county girl.
The property was bought by Major Robertshaw four years ago and has been considerably improved, including a thoroughly modernized home. There are twenty-two outbuildings.
