Colonel, Dies Col. Presley M. Rixey, 77, retired Marine Corps officer, died Friday of a heart condition at the Bethesda Naval Hospital. A native of Culpeper and a former “resident of Rappahannock County, haVing formerly owned Rock bottom Col. Rixey entered the service —in 1808 as a naval cadet and was commissioned a second lieutenant in. the Marine Corps in 1900. Surviving are three sons; a daughter and two sisters. - Funeral sendees were held at the Christ Episcopal Church in Alexandria at 1 p.m. Wednesday. Burial was in the Arlington National Cemetery.
