Feed far our livestock is drastically short. Prices of feed are high—so high mahy livestock men will find the cost of feed exceeds the value of the calf or even the milk he will have to sell; that is unless he makes wise use of the feed he,has on hand,, unless he makes wise substitutes that — are^less expensive. t

So serious is the situation the director of Extension Service in Virginia has ordered certain of its specialist to cancel all other engagements in order to try and help Virginia beef and dairy farmers over- * come this hazardous situation brought by the drough. Teams consisting of: a Dairy Specialist, an Animal Husbandry Specialist, and an Agronomist will visit every county in Northern Virginia for the purpose of bringing the most up-to-date and best research data on feeding and feed production in an emergency of the kind farmers are now faced with.—

One of these teams will come to Rappahannock, Tuesday, November 24 at 1:30 p.m. Every Rappahannock farmer should take advantage of this opportunity.
