James F. Oater

James F. Clater died at his home in - Sperryville, October ‘ 20 at 46 years of age. He is the son of the late Luther Cater and Emily C. Pullen, both of Sperryville. Mr. Cater has been ill since early last spring. He is survived by his wife, M'S. Maggie Dodson“ Cater; six children. Earnest, Randolph, Robert, Jean, Peggie and Ruth, the youngest -being—only—five years_old; two brothers,^ Jessie Oark Cater and Isaac Russell Clater.

Graveside sendees were conducted by Rev. A. Paul Thompson, Thursday, October 22, at 2 p.m. in the Sperryville Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were C. E. Johnson Jr., Jo; Fox, Edward M. Estes, ArchieDodson, Netus H. Brown, H. S. Atkins, Charlie Coates, and Charlie Dodson.

Honorary pauubearers were Robert Cater, Roland Clater, Roy Atkins, Linwood Fry, Robert S. Clater and Roxic Clater.
