The Culpeper instructors have given unselvishly of their free time to teach the classes. Without their co-operation the formation of a Rescue Squad requiring certified first aiders, would have been an im, possibility. They deserve praise for their apparent awareness of the value of First Aid knowledge and their willingness to impart this knowledge.

GARDEN CLUB TO HOLD PLANNING MEETING

The October meeting of the Rappahannock Garden Club was held at the home of Mrs. Lily Barber in Woodville. Mrs. W. R. Williamson presented an unusually attractive program on Chrysanthemums. Ar;jrangtmegt awards Werrr 1st Mrsr CT* E. Johnson, 2nd Mrs. L. J. Turner, 3rd, Miss Ethel Long. Horticultural exhibit awards were*; 1st Mrs. J. G. Revercomb, 2nd Mrs. S. E. Hening, 3rd, Mrs. Gene Wood. The November meeting will be held early this month (because of Thanksgiving) on ' the 18th at the home of Mrs. E. M. Jones. It will be a planning meeting for the December ‘‘Greens Sale.” ’the exhibit this month will be a composition for Thanksgiving.
