Due to physical disability, I sold part of my farm interests in 1950, including my herd of 155 head of cattle. 1 now desire to dispose of my remaining farm property located on Battle Run, about four miles southeast of Washington, Rappahannock County, Virginia, on State road 627 two and one-half miles south of U. REAL ESTATE
The real estate to be offered consists of 500 acres more or less in one body, and two detached parcels containing 30 acres move or less located within a short distance of the main body. The property is well watered by a large creek which runs through the property, as well as by springs on the property. About 400 acres more or less are open except for some small growth which has appeared in the last three years. The timbered section contains some valuable saw timber of oak, and pine as well as some growing poplar. There is also some pine pulpwood. Widely distributed over the property are large numbers of growing locust trees, from which an estimated ten thousand locust posts and stakes can be cut. »
