Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Massie III entertained at their home, Hampden Hall, Friday evening honoring Miss Beverley Ribble of White Post and James Massie, whose marriage will take place Saturday afternoon at four o'clock.
sir, A. B. Lyon opened my eyes where I could see the trees as well as the forest and I’m sure Mr. Massie will admit the same.
At one thirty o’clock this afternoon A. B. Lyon will conduct a timber stand improvement demonstration at Meadow Grove among these pine and you can bet your boots Mr. Massie and his help will be on hand to see and learn. what Mr. Lyon has to show. Indeed so, and he will welcome the presense-of any one else who might be interested in learning how to improve his own farm wood lots. Remember too that cold weather is almost upon us. When you go to the woods just to get fuel make every blow with the ax count. To learn which trees to take out—which to leave—come to Meadow Grove at 1:30 p.m. today.
To get to these pine follow route 729 south from Ben Venue until you get to thej State Highway garage then turn wlSI^on route 622. The pine are in back of the Pentecostal Church. If you come be especially careful with your smoking and don't try to buy the pine—They just ain’t for sale—at least not yet awhile_ _
