County offices of the Production and Marketing Administration have just been issued a bulletin which tightens eligibility requirements under the Commodity Credit Corporation’s 1954 wheat price support program.
County PMA Chairman Barksdale said that the bulletin gives official notice to wheat producers that the following conditions of eligibility will apply on the 1954 wheat crop which is being seeded this fall under strict acreage controls.
(1) To obtain price support on 1954 crop wheat a farmer must comply with the 1954 wheat acreage allotment determined for his farm.
(2) . No producer will be entitled to wheat price support even though he is within his wheat allotment, unless he complies with the 1954 acreage allotments for all other crops in which he has an intefest and for which 1954 acreage allotments will be established.
(3) No producer will be eligible for price support on eligible wheat until he is entitled to receive a marketing card on all wheat farms in the county in which he has an interest.
(4) The producer’s appliction for wheat price support must be accompanied by a statement that he has not or will not exceed the 1954 acreage allotment for any commodity on any farm on which wheat is offered for( price support.
