Clubs, meeting in Faneuil Hall (of Revolutionary fame) to proclaim their intent to attack the evils of vandalism and youthful violence by their own methods. Not curfews and extra police, they insist, but enlisting the resources of law-abiding youth is the way to deal with the shameful and costly vandalism committed by some 2 per cent of the city’s juvenile population. .'

Here are three methods of approach. The first, which is the least constructive, may be necessary as an emergency method on occasion, hut leaves the root of the matter untouched. The second represents one of the most creative—and probably efiective—means of reorienting existing gangs toward more socially desirable ends. The third holds a promise of tapping youthful energies to produce from the young people themselves a better climate of ideals within which to satisfy the natural “drive for status.”

For coconuts, make 2 holes and drain out coconut milk. Save this for use later. Put coconut in 350° oven for 10 to 15 minutes, depending on size. The shell will crack during heating. Take from oven, tap with a hammer all over. Remove shell and peel off the brown part with a vegetable peeler. Grate and use as needed.
