The Primary Grades of the Rappahannock High School' presented a Thanksgiving program, November 25 at 1:30. Lyle Updike welcomed his school mates and additional guests including several parents to their performance. A play, “Mrs. Goose and Mrs. Pudding Have Their* Revenge,” was then given. The characters included: Greedy Gregory, Tommy Fincham; his mother, GladysTharp; Mrs. Goose, Alice Wood; and Mrs. Plum Pudding, Elizabeth Smoot.
In the first scene laid in a dining room with Thanksgiving Dinner on the table, Linda Beahm, Ronny Hawkins, Linda Payne and Ronnie Thornhill with Indians, Joan Wharton and Polly Magee rendered their versions of what we should be thankful, for.
Charlotte Clark gave a recication on “A Book” and Peggy Smoot told the audience.. about “The Care of Books.”_^—— .—
Grades I and II favored the guests with several rhythm band selections: “Come Ye Thankful People,” “Come and “Rataplan” by Donizetti. The members of the rythm band were James Settle who played the drum; Linda Beahm, Lois Smoot, Ann Clatterbuck, Sandra Menefee and Phyllis Keyser, sticks; Linda Payne, Hollis Hickman and William Smoot, wood blocks; Christine Liscomb, Ronfiie Thornhill and Frank Moffett, triangle; Charlotte Clark, Dana •Snead and Ruth Clark, bells; Anne Jenkins, Mary Atkins and Dorothy Davis, tambourine; Mary Smoot, cymbals and Margaret Hunt, clapper.
