Can You Believe?
Rev. H. G. Tkach “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” St. John 4:24. . One of the most popular evangelists of our day. often uses an expression that, to my way of thinking, causes some people to become discouraged in their effort to mature spiritually. The expression is' this, “The Bible* says.” This creates in the mind of the hearer the need to believe everything they read in the Bible to be absolute truth. There are many who find it impossible to believe what they read is true simply becuse it is in the Bibig, but they find themselves believing it is in the Bible because it is t9*e. Therefore, many are no longer using the Bible to prove their contentions, but are asking that the Bible be read to fortify experience.
Can you believe that. God is a Spirit without adding, “because it is in the Bible?” Or have you found through worshiping in spirit and truth that God truly is a Spirit and the Bible verifies the fact of your experience?
