Add color to your Christmas meals with minted pears. You’ll need 3i cups pears, pear sirup plus water to make Z cups, 2 tbsp. lemon juice, i cup sugar, %tsp. peppermint extract, 4 drops green food coloring. Drain pears. Put sirup in pan with lemon -juice, sugar, peppermint, and food coloring. Simmer uncovered 10 mins. Cool. Put pears in large flat dish, pour sirup over them, and store in refrigerator. .
