Mr. and Mrs. Trenton Burke and r sons, Richard and Dickie were Wednesday through Thanksgiving Day guests of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Burke.

Mr. and Mrs. Leon Bailey and Stephen and Nena Merrill were guests of Mrs. Bailey’s parents. Mr. and Mrs. L. V. Merrill on Wednesday through Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Woodward and Miss Corrie Scroggins of Washington, D. C. were guests of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Scroggins over the Thanksgiving holiday. — Mrs. A. M. Verner, Miss Elizabeth Vemer and Pickens Barker enjoyed their Thanksgiving dinner in Sperryville at the dinner served by the Methodist ladies in the Lee Highway Hotel. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Wire and daughters, Rosemary and Ramona spdnt the week end at their home, “The Shade.”

Mr. and Mrs. George Muth spent the week end at their farm near Woodville.

Miss Franches Smith of Madison was a week ehd guest of Mrs. William Meade Fletcher and Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Fletcher.

Thomas Reid of the University of North Carolina spent the Thanksgiving holiday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Reid.
