ACP OPEN TO ALL FARMERS
Any farmer in Virginia is eligible to participate in the 1954 Agricultural Conservation Program and farmers may sign up now *o cooperate in this national program of soil and water conservation, H. S. Barksdale, chairman of the Rappahannock County PMA Committee, said, today. .. —
To sign up, a farmer should come to the County PMA Office before December 12, 1953- In signing up to carry out approved soil and water conservation practices, the farmer does not obligate himself in any way, but he does make himself eligible for program assistance in carrying out the practices.
Under the 1953 Agricultural Conservation Program, approximately 500. Rappahannock farmers will use the program to strengthen .Rappahannock County and the Nation’s soil and water resources. This cooperation with the farmers of other States has helped make possible the favorable food situation today, the County Chairman said.
