T. Valley H D at home of Mrs. M. W. Brown’s at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29—Woodville H D special stencilling beginning at 10 a.m. at Mrs. R. M. Johnson. The farm and home electric project planning meeting was held Monday. Unit I and Unit II will meet the same night with older 4-H members enrolled in Unit 11 acting as junior leaders. Mrs. Barbara Gentry will be adult leader and will aid the 4-H'ers in giving demonstrations and help them with their project work. Mr. Hugh Ramsey, farm representative of Piedmont Electric Cooperative and Mr. Robert Prettyman, agriculture engineer from Northern Virginia Power Co. The meetings are scheduled to meet March 2, 9 and 23rd with a tour to a well electrified home and farm planned for later.
Mrs. Luther Stuart entertained Amissville H D club Wednesday. Mrs. Catherine Riley; federation goal chairman, conducted the program on state government.
Mrs. R. M. Johnson was hostess at Woodville H D club Friday with Mrs. Ruth Orange presiding. The club made a study of state government during the meeting.
Jack Tyree, State 4-H club leader, talked to adult and junior leaders at a leader training meeting Thursday night. The theme of his talk was on philosophy of 4-H and the part played by these 4-H leaders in the 4-H program. Host and hostess for the meeting were Betty Rutherford, Carolyn Turner and Kelly Updike.
