Pvt. Jett Graduates From Munich Academy
Pvt.'■Thomas D. Jtftt, 24, son of Will Jett of Huntly, is a member of the largest class ever to graduate from the Seventh Army Non-Commissioned Officer Academy in Munich, Germany.
A member of the 131st Heavy Tank Battalion, he is among 202 men who successfully completed a five-week course emphasizing leadership, map reading and other military subjects.
Pvt. Jett entered the Army in November 1952 and arrived overseas the following May. - -

Valentine Party
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Gough of Echo Hill Farm entertained at—a_ Valentine Party, Saturday evening, in honor of their daughter, Miss Caroletta Gough. The house was attractively decorated with countless small valentines and one large valentine in the center of the living room. In the dining hall, a three tier Valentine cake with delicious sandwiches and punch set on a gay red and white table cloth with numerous small hearts scattered around, adding to the effectiveness of the theme.
The sub debs of Rappahannock and their escorts enjoyed an evening of dancing and fun. Among the invited guests were the Misses Ann Yates, Evelyn Tyler Miller, Betty Johnson, Becky Jones, Frances Smith, Frances Walker, Faye Black, Bernice Nethers, Peggy Clater, Jean Clater, Margaret Ann Devers, Betty Bruce, Paula Miller, Rachel Maney, Lila Gerttry, Janet Lillard, Betty Ann Gorbin, Juanita Dodson, Betty Lou Atkins, and Charles Henry Sisk, Tony Lucas, Kelly Updike, Eddie Lillard, Tommy Wayland, Robert Settle, Nelson Williams, Hill Walker, Jimmy Yates, John Coates, Jimmy Wayland and John Turner.
Mr. and Mrs. Gough were assisted in entertaining by Miss Irene Keyser.
