Letter To The Editor
This is in response to an item found in your, “Some Observations, Pro and Con Column” newspaper of February 11, 1954.
In this column you state that there for a few years we had good mail service, then go on to leave the idea with your readers that the service is now very poor, and you wind up the column by saying in a few years we will make another change in Washington, D. C. and we will be able to get our mail on time again.
For the record may I say that you are the most uninformed publisher of a newspaper that I have the priviledge of serving.
For your information may I state that the men and "women that are now handling the mail are the same ones that were handling it under the Democrats. We made mistakes under the Democrats and we are making them under the Republicans. In the Postal Service as well as in any other business it is unfortunate but mistakes are made since the person that does not make mistakes once in awhile is not doing much work. The only persons that have been replaced since the Republicans went into v Office are a few of the Postmasters in the Bigger Offices and since very ' few of them do actual sorting of the mail especially NEWSPAPERS, I again say that the personnel of the «_ii ~ ;
