The Misses Hitt entertained the f Womans Society of Christian Service of the MetWodist church on Wednesday evening. Mrs. Nina Brown presided and conducted the opening worship service and also read the scrip- | ture lesson followed by prayer. After ■which the group sang “This is My Fathers World,” with Mrs. Catherine Brown at the piano. The program Jesson based on the subject for the month “Outreach Reach of the - M. E. Church Among Rural Negros was presented in a round table discussion. Ten members and one visitor were'present. During the social hour at the conclusion of the meeting the hostess served refreshments.
Virginia Miller Appointed Insurance Agent
Virginia Gore Miller has been appointed as an agent for the Farm. Bureau Insurance Companies, according to an announcement made in Richmond by Glenn Erftenbeck, Regional .Sales Manager for the Companies.
Before coming with the Companies Mrs. Miller had been employed by the Washington Coop. Fruit Growers sinqe 1946. _ * _
