All six members of the Board were present to discuss the business of the day. Bids for painting all the outside woodwork (2 coats) and the roof (1 coat) on the Treasurer's Office, Clerk's Office, Court House and Jail, were opened by Chairman J. P. Cook. H. T. Updike and Willie Payne were awarded the job with a low bid of $440.v

A sheep claim of Mrs. H. L. Manwaring for 2 sheep and 1 lamb was upheld by the Supervisors and she was awarded compensation.

Chairman Cook proposed that the Board set aside a certain sum of money (and suggested that $200 or $250 would be adequate) ~ to put on making an outlet from the Reager school, which would eliminate the danger, which the present outlet affords. Campbell made the motion to set aside $200 for just such a purpose, and the motion was seconded by Buckner. f
