Christian fellowship and splendid cooperation prevailed throughout the week to make it a most enjoyable one for all. The school closed with a joint Bible and Sunday School picnic on the church grounds at 3:30 p.m. to which the parents were invited. Refreshments were served to all.
Rev. Thach was unable to be with us during the week due to hospitalization. Our prayers went out to him each day for a speedy recovery.

Joe Roberts, 45, was found dead Sunday morning on the J. P. Reardon farm 'near Double Toll- * gate where he was employed. He had been under the doctor’s care =and had been missing since Friday.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Sugar Hill Church near Stone Bridge. Interment was in Sugar Hill Cemetery. Rev. Mr. Fletcher of Front Royal officiated.
He was born July 4, 1909 in Rappahannock county, a son of the late James and Elizabeth Davenport Roberts of that county. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Jeannette Jackson Roberts four
