VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

HELD IN AMISSVILLE

A daily vacation Bible School was held for one week at the Amissville Methodist Church with a total enrollment of 52. Mrs. John Pearman acted as Superintendent,withMTS.brB. Stuart as Secretary. Mrs. Elsie Cropp and Mrs. Gus Lebisch, Intermediate Dept;. Mrs. John Tapp/Junior Dept.; Mrs. Graham Hackley, Primary Dept.; Miss Peggy Ann Green, Beginners Dept, as teachers of the Bible Classes. Mrs. Mitchell Green, Mrs. Christine Judd, Miss Dorothy Hitt, Miss Catherine Holmes, Mrs. Carol Hackley and Mrs. Myrtle Stover acted as teachers of the Handwork Dept., and Mrs. John Pearman as music instruc- ' tor. v<|||

The children made notebooks, flags, crepe paper hats, coin purses, shadow, pictures, gliders, memo pads, clocks, etc.

Refreshments were served by Mrs. Charles Green, Mrs. ,-Gus Lebisch and Mrs. William Latham.

The collection taken during the week was used to purchase new shoes for children of a needy family.
