It is essential that boxes be erected be'forre August 2 if persons on this route want their mail thus 'delivered. The place such - boxes can be purchased and the directions for putting them up can be received from Postmaster W. A. Miller in Washington.
The Department requests that when homes are located reasonably close together, that boxes be erected so one stop will service all the boxes. Stamps should be placed on mail before it is put in the box.
This daily delivery route is the response to numerous and repeated requests by the patrons on the_ Todderstadc road. The seven miles J , extension of rural route number one will service around 40 families.

Beginning this Saturday, July 10, a contest to elect a Wakefield Carnival Queen td reign over the Wakefield Firemen's Carnival on
July 23 and 24, will be started in | the stores and other public places in the district. One cent will cast a single vote for your choice for queen. So cast a look around the district at the smiling beauties and vote for your favorite. Proceeds from* this contest will go to the Fire Department.
