parents, Mr. and Mrs. Trenton Burke of Fredericksburg. Mrs. ' Kate Petty accompanied the party to Boston, where she was a guest of her brother, Mr. and Mrs.’' Harry Lillard, Kay and Carroll Petty spent the day with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Baumgardner of Culpeper.

Mrs. Earl Burke and Mrs. John Burke were Wednesday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Burke. Thursday, Mrs. Earl Burke left for Germany where she will join her husband who is with the Armed Forces. Mrs. John Burke has moved into the Merrill apartment house.

Mr. and^Mrs. C. Miller Price of Washington, D. C. were holiday guests of their mother and brother, Mrs. J. W. Price and J. W. Price of “The Maples.” ——Mr, and Mrs. Harry Marshall of Fairfax were guests over the holiday of their sister, Mrs. Matilda Walker.

Mrs. Rosa Burton left Friday for Etlan for a visit with her niece, Miss Frances Dulaney. ’

J. S. Bennett of Petersburg, Pa. arrived Tuesday at Rose Hill for a visit with Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Hall.

William Sheffield of Louisville, Kentucky and Moncere Crowder of Blackstone were guests at Delamore, home of Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Jones from Wednesday until Sunday. They attended art Friday evening, the party given by Miss Betty Johnson of Sperryville.

Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Cary were recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Aylor at their home in Sperryville.
