Little Miss Georgene Gray of Amissville and Miss Ney Lawson served as flower girls at the million dollar wedding with Miss Annie L. Ficklin of Culpeper on Friday night, June 24.
Mrs. Beatrice King called to see Mrs. Juanita Mot)re on Sunday in the home of Mr, and Mrs. Howard Lawson.
Mr. and Mrs. Howard Lawson of'Amissville were called to Washington, D. C. last Tuesday, due to the death of Mr. Lawson,js nephew, Warren Phillips. ' Mr« Phillips had been sick for 3 years. He was serving in the U. S. Army and received medical care at the Walter Reed Hospital. He was in the hospital when death occurred. Mr. Phillips had been married Just one year at Easter. His wife was Miss Bessie Furgerson, daughter of the late Hugh Furgerson of this neighborhood. Mr. Phillips was buried with full military honors at Fort Myer Cemetery. Funeral services were conducted at the Fort Myer Chapel at 2 p.m., Friday, June 17.
