“Undefeated in shoulder-toshoulder competition during the season, the Cadets fired a recordbreaking 1,411x1,500 in winning the State All-Military title for the third consecutive year, tied for first in the William Randolph Hearst Match with 937x1,000, and tied for first again in the National Rifle Association Match with 1,988-2,000.

Local and area cadets on the R.-M. A. squad included: Tommy Bras tow and Bobby Cornell of Front Royal{ Harry Powell of Warren ton; Joe Jones of Culpeper; Bob Russum of Luray; and John Turner of Washington.”
