He married the former Mildred Wood, daughter pf the Ii te Mr. and Mrs. Thomas A. Wood. Mr. and Mrs. Many, with their three daughters, j the Misses Rachael. Mildred and “Sus” Jacqueline, live at Ivy Hill.
John Maurv Barber Jr. ormerlyof Culpeper has btjen inter sted in newspaper work since early youth. His first experience being with the Culpeper Exponent under the editorship of the late Rale gh T. Green. j
He came to Rappahannock in 1949 with Bruce S. Bow e and Miss Lucy Catherine Bo’vie to establish the Rappahannock News, and with the exception of tl e time spent in the Armed Services with the U. S. Air Force* has been with the paper ever since. He r ■ceived his discharge in 1955.
Mr. Barber married the ormer Miss Audrey T. Michael, laughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elzie Michael of Westenport, ;Md.
