Said George C. Elkins, Deceased, acquired a 4/16ths interest in said land by descent from his mother, Sarah J. Elkins, and by purchase from F. Pendleton Carter, Special Commissiioner by deed dated and recorded July 22, 1907, in the Clerk’s Office of the Circuit Court of Rappahannock County, Virginia, m Deed Book X, at page 326, and a l/16th interest was acquired by him by descent from his deceased sister, Annie Maude Elkins, who died intestate in the year 1949, thereby giving him a 5/16th interest in the aforesaid tracts or parcels of land located iin Stonewall Magisterial -District, Rappahannock County, Virginia.
