Winner of the car was Mr. W. S. Hughes of Delaplane, Va. and the Deep-freezer went to Louise E. Tubb of Marshall, Virginia.
The Auxiliary’s four stands, Food, Bake, Raffle and Ice Cream, and the Queen contest brought in over $1,657.06.
The officers of the Amissville V. F. D. and the Auxiliary wish ta thank all the members and nonmembers who made donations and those who worked so faithfully to make the carnival a success.
The parade held Friday night at 6:30 was exciting andthroroughly enjoyed by all who witnessed ' the various fire apparatus and rescue squads and the “Strutettes and theDrum and Bugle Corps from Annahdale.
Prizes awarded to the parade _ contestants were as follows:
Best appearing fire apparatus, Great . Falls, Best equipped, Fairfax, Best appearing uniforms on fire apparatus, The P I a i n s, Apaparaftis coming dip longest distance Elkton, Oldest fire apparatus in service, CaStleton, Oldest fire apparatus, Washington.
The Best appearing rescue . squad was Franconiaand the bfst equipped squad was Orange.
Annandale’s “Strutettes” , and the Drum and Bugle Corps provided the oh’s and ah’s of the spectators.
Best appearing float in the parade was Edwards & William, best marching unit was Culpeper and the Women’s Auxiliary of Great Falls was sure to win a prize.
