The Rev. and Mrs. A. Paul Thompson and Ann Rodes were dinner guests on Thursday evening of Mr. and Mrs. James JF. Smith Rev. and Mrs. Thompson have closed their home in the country and are staying at Rock Villa with Mr. and Mrs. J. Rodes Brown before leaving early in September for Fork Union where Rev. the Thompson will be a member of the teaching staff at Fork Union College.
Mrs. H. H. Avlor and granddaughter, Stevie Aylor and her daughter Mrs. Thomas Cozzo spent last week at Colonial Beach returning to Sperrvville Friday where Mrs. Cozzo remained till Sunday. Buddy Aylor of Arlington spent the week end with his parents and daughter. A recent guest in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Aylor was Frank Leake of Baltimore, Md.
Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Kagey of Brentwood. Md. were week end guests of Mrs. O. B. Swindler and Miss Barbara Swindler. On Saturday evening Mr. and Mrs. Roy Swindler entertained Mr. and Mrs. Kagey, Bob and Bill Swindler for supper.
Mrs.-J. B. Johnson, her sister, Mrs. W. A. Bullis, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schaefer, Edna Yates and Susan were dinner guests on Tuesday evening of Mr- and Mrs. Gordon Payne in Madison. Edna Yates remained for a longer stay with her aunt.
