SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 15,1956 At 11 o’clock A.M. (E.S.T.) At the Front Door of the Court House in the Town of Washington, Rappahannock County, Virginia Pursuant to the provisions of a certain deed of trust executed by George C. Elkins, single, to James W. Fletcher, Trustee, dated January 1, 1354, and recorded January 19, 1954, in the Clerk’s Office of the Circuit Court of Rappahannock County, Virginia, in Deed Book 60, at page 427 et seq., to secure the payment of a certain debt therein described, default having been made in the payment of said debt and at the request of the legal holder thereof (the debt secured by said deed of trust having been declared by the holder to be due and payable), the undersigned, James W. Fletcher, Trustee, having been requested to act by the holder of said obligation, will be for sale at public auction to the highest bidder, at the front door of the Court House, in the Town of Washington, Virginia, at 11 o’cloock A. M. (E.S.T.) on Saturday, September 15, 1956, all the interests of George C. Elkins in the following ‘described tracts or parcels of land, to-wit: TRACT NO. 1: All that certain tract or parcel of land, situate, lying and being in the Town of Woodville, on the , West side of u. S. Route 522, known as the Elkins Home Tract, including the house in which George C. Elkins resides. Said lot is bounded on the East by said U. S. Route No. 522 and on the North by the lane leading from the highway to the property of Burton Orange and W. A. Dulaney and also on the north of the property of Burton Orange, formerly owned by Minnie Burke; on the West by the property of Burton Orange, formerly Minnie Burke, and by the ‘Old Kemper Place,’ now owped by Nellie Timbers, and on the south by the said ‘Old Kemper Place’, owned by Nellie Timbers, and by the ‘Settle Tract,’ now owned by W. A. Dulaney. TRACT NO. 2: All that certain tract or parcel of land, lying on the East side of U. S. Route 522 in the Town of Woodville, and bounded on the West of U. S. Route 522, on the North by the State Secondary Route No. 621, leading to Five Forks, on the East by the road leading to the Shiloh Colored Baptist Church an on the South by the lands formerly owned by Will Butler, deceased.”
