who does not feel a kinship for the little country church at the edge of the forest ?
Perhaps it’s story, if we look back far enough, is the story of them all_.the story of the universal church.
Forest Grove Church has been constantly tin the move since it was organized October 24, 1886. The building was small at that time, but it’s membership grew and in 1907 they decided to add to it_ keeping all of the old_because they loved it.
The late John S., Hughes of “Laurel Hill” donated the lumber, and men of the church went into the forest, cut the timber, sawed it and built their church. It has served the community in many ways ever since.
Last year the members of Firest Grove again decided they needed more space to “carry on the Lord’s work.” They took a page from their Church History._...and as in 1907 the men of the church went into the forest, cut and sawed tir-her that had been given them and started to build. This time the women of the church served hot lunches every day to their “Lumberjacks” and fhe work was accomplished in a' remarkably short time, Work on the new addition is well under way at this time and interest and enthusiasm is growing.
