Visits of .important persons have always added historical inter«st to that place and if they once upon a time happened to have “slept there” it was remembered and talked about for generations.
Rappahannock has had it’s share of visits from the great and near great and the “autograph album" of Miss Louise O'Bannon of Sperryville give? the exact date and a number of interesting details connected with the visit of one of our world citizens.

Presley Henry O’Bannon, father of Misa Louise, after he was defeated for the President, but losing the. election did not lose for him his friends in Rappahannock. Several of them had been at the Democratic National Convention which had nominated him.
