— Dear Folks Certainly was chilly today. I do wish it would warm up, but we did get the garden plowed today. 1 see from my window that Wade Massie, Jr. and Charlie Bruce are working on theirs.
We had the most wonderful trip to New Jersey. The country is simply beautiful. Always miss the mountains, but 1 do believe the large bodie., of water make up a little for the lack of our mountains.
My friend, Mrs. Wallace told me when I was in front Royal, that her husband had been given the pig by the Hunt Club. He had gone to Oliver Durants farm to pick- it up that morning. He was tickled pink. And believe me 1 am glad it was the pig because they had made me promise to ride the pony over if they had gotten it. Poor pom hr was lucky this time.
From all reports the ladies of ■the Anussville Methodist Church had a delicious supper, well at-tended. Friday evening.
