tending the University of Virginia, he was chosen as a member of the Alpha Beta Chapter of Phi Delta Kappa, a professional organization composed of outstanding men in the field of education. He currently is serving as a member of the Educational Policies Committee for the Virginia Education Association.
Mr. Sandidge became General Supervisor for Warren and Rappahannock Counties in July 1957 and will complete three years in this office on June 30, 1960. The School Boards of Warren and Rappahannock Counties received the notice of his leaving with regret and commended him for his splendid work in this Division.

Kenneth M. Marland, district supervisor for the 1960 Census of Population and Housing, today urged area residents who have received “sample” questionnaires to fill out the forms and mail them to the Census district office immediately.
The sample questionnaires prints ed on blue paper, were left at every fourth household during the first stage of the Census which is now virtually completed. These questionnaires contained the detailed population and housing questions which are asked of a 25 per cent sample of the population. By using only a sample of the population, the Census Bureau is able to collect important information about the Nation’s people at a fraction of the cost of a complete canvass.
The success of the Censusdepends upon the cooperation of local residents in filling out these forms and mailing them promptly. All information furnished to the Census Bureau is kept in strict confidence under Federal law and can not be used for taxation, regulation or investigation.
