Romie B. Pullen

Romie Branson Pullen of Washington, Va. died Wednesday, April 6 at his residence. He was 70.

Son of the late Robert and Delphie Pullen, he was a native of Rappahannock County. His wife was the former Miss Cloudie May Keyser. He had been an invalid for the past six years.

Besides his wife, he is survived by seven sons, Elmer, Charlie, Russell, Clyde, Silas and John Pullen all of Washington, Va., and Carl Pullen of Baltimore, Md.; three daughters, Mrs. Alice Beahm, Mrs. Dorothy Ralls, and Mrs. Sylvia Huff all of Washington, Va.; two sisters, Mrs. Laura Keyser of Rixeyville and Mrs. Sam Bailey of Maryland ; three brothers Clarence and James Pullen, both of Culpeper and Eddie Pullen of Reva.

Also surviving are 23 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held Friday, April 8, from the Geest Funeral Chapel, with interment in the Washington Masonic Cemetery. Elder Clarence Frazier and Rev. James Pittman conducted the last rites. Pallbearers were Thomas R. Baldwin, John Baldwin, Ira Bailey, Albert Pullen, Ralph Pullen and David Pullen.

Revival At Chester Gap

An old-fashioned revival will be held at Chester Gap Penecostal Church beginning April 17. Services start at 7 :30 p.m. each evening except Monday. Rev. R. iH. Scroggins and Rev. Edward Jenkins, evangelists, will conduct the meetings. The public is invited to attend.
