Incentive Awards

Rappahannock County Incentive Awards were presented four students of the 1960 graduating class of Rappahannock County High School and to five past graduates of the school at the commencement exercises held June 6.

These scholarships are given to encourage students to gain higher education and are based on ability and need.

Those of the t960 class receiving awards were Jean Lillard, Lee Roy Jenkins, Shirley Burke, and Elizabeth Latham.

Past graduates receiving scholarships were Carol Rowzie, Thelma Hawkins, Galley Smith, III, Glen Updike, and Jackie Sisk.

A cash award for a senior doing outstanding work in typing and shorthand, given by an anonymous interested friend, was presented to Margel Dulaney.
