There will be a lawn party on the new church ground of Hopewell Baptist Church in Sperryville on Saturday, June 18 beginning at 5 p.m. Everyone is cordially invited to come out and help 3 worthy cause. Refreshments will be on sale.

Mr. and Mrs. Russell Carter had with them for dimer Friday Mrs. Lucy Childs and daughter. Mrs. B. P. Austin was a caller in the Russell home in the afternoon.
Mr .and Mrs. Albert Jett and John Jasper entertained at a going away party in honor of Mrs. Geneva DeVane. Those attending were Mrs. Mary Timbers, Front Royal; Mr. and Mrs. Boddie and Mrs. Ora Barbour, Washington, Va.; Moses Brooks, Melvin Jordan, George Turner, William Turner, Mrs. Julia Jett, Miss Eleanor Russell, Cornelia Jasper and John Adams. Delicious refreshments were served and everyone -had an enjoyable time.
