According to the count,'"'Mrs. Martha Critzer was re-elected mayor with 16 votes, though Mrs. Dorothy Davis received 4 votes and Wade H. Massie, Jr. 1.
For council members the voting was as follows:
Mrs. A .M. Verner 19f Mrs. Dorothy Hawkins 19; Mrs. Edna Way land 16; Mrs. J. W. Critzer 17; Mrs. Christine Johnston 6; Mrs. Virginia Miller 6; Mrs. Jessie Miller Turner 5; and Mrs. Dora Updike 5.
Mrs. Johnston had publicly stated prior to the election that she was not a candidate for re-election and that she would not serve if elected. After hearing the results - of the election, Mrs. Virginia Miller stated that for legal reasons she was ineligible for office.
All who were elected will have until September to go before the Clerk of the Court of Rappahannock County and qualify for office.

Angus Breeders Ass’n
The ajQnual membership meeting of the Angus Breeders Association will be held on June 23 at the court house in Washington, Va. at 8:00 p.m.
This meeting was first scheduled for June 24 and since has been changed to be held June 23. -
