Cadet Francis Marion Bruce of Sperryville was among the 177 Virginia Military Institute first classmen who graduated from the Institute in exercises held there June 14.
Cadet Bruce, an electrical engineering major, was graduated with a bachelor of science degree and will be commissioned a second lieutenant in the Army Reserve. He is a member of the Artillery ROTC unit at the Institute.
Cadet Bruce is the son ofMrs. Helen B. Bruce of Sperryville. He is a 1956 graduate of Rappahannock County High School.
