Only** twenty-four votes were cast m the election for mayor and councilmen (or should we say ladies) in the town of Washington on Tuesday, June 14.
Since no one had qualified for candidacy, the vote was a writein for the office of mayor and five seats on the town council.
Of the twenty-four ballots cast, four were thrown out.
