Had a card yesterday from the Martha Washington Hotel at Virginia Beach saying the George Davis, Jr.'s and their family had arrived. Hope they have fun.
Jimmie, Jr. and Dottie were all at Jimmie and Julia Settle’s over the weekend and they brought Jimmie and Julia one of the most fabulous presents, a deep freeze. Julia is so pleased.
The Jimmie DeBerghs will visit Elizabeth next week. They do have so much fun when they all get together.
Dump Massie and Lizzie Eastham came by the office this morning. It seems a big rat has been coming into their yard and eating from Rusty’s plate every day for a month. Well, he won’t come any more. Tom shot him yesterday from his bedroom window and believe it or not, Tom is an excellent shot. He hit him right between the eyes.
