Five Accidents Over
Weekend
Friday afternoon, September 9, a charge of reckless driving was placed against Edward Cecil Hill of Ft. Meade, Md. when his 1957 Chevrolet sedan collided with a 1957 Buick station wagon on a sharp curve 4 3/10 miles west of’ Amissville on Route 211. '
The station wagon, driven by Charles Richard Titus of Fairfax and owned by Clinton O. Raymond of V ienna, was damaged in the amount of $300. Margaret A. Raymond, a passenger, received bruises on her right arm and leg, according to Trooper J. C. Lawson who. investigated the accident.
Approximately $500 damage was done to the Hill vehicle.
Sunday, September 11 four accidents occurred on Rappahannock highways.
At 1 :45 .m. about one and onehalf miles west of Washington, Va. on Route 211 a 1951 Chevrolet >edan owned and operated by Vernon A Ison Atkins of Sperryville was struck in the rear, by Annie Fletcher Clanagan driving a 1953 Oldsmobile owned by Robert Clanagan.
