Appointment of Earl R. Yancey as a member of the Rappahannock Farmers Home Administration county committee was announced by John G. Castles, the agency’s county supervisor serving Culpeper, Fairfax. Fauquier, Greene, Madison, Orange, Prince William, Stafford, and Rappahannock counties.
Mr. Yancey operates a general livestock farm near Viewtown and is active in agricultural and community activities. He formerly worked with the ASC program in Rappahannock.
Two other members make up the 3-member committee which works with the county supervisor to see that the best possible use is made of the agency’s farm credit service program consistent with local farmers’ needs. The other two members are Mi. Garland M. Black, manager of Mount Vernon dairy farm at Sperryville, who will be chairman of the committee during the 1961 fiscal year and Mr. Raymond M. Johnson, beef cattle and orchardist of Woodville. Mr. Johnson is a native and lifelong resident of Rappahannock.
