The Arlington baseball team will visit the Washington Monarchs Sunday, September 18. The Sperryville Tigers will also play the Monarchs. A barbecue will be served. Come and see the two fast teams. Game time 1 :30 p.m. Admission 75 cents.
The Lawn Party that was scheduled for Saturday, September 17 for the benefit of the Hopewell Baptist Church, has been postponed until Saturday the 24th. The public is invited to come to the new church grounds* in Sperryville, Va. Proceeds will go to the building fund. Refreshments will be on sale.
There will be a Lawn Party at the home of Mrs. Ora Barbour on Friday evening at 7:30 p.m., sponsored by the Womans Club of the First Baptist Church. The public is cordially invited. There will be games, refreshments and music. A pleasant evening is promised to all.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Jackson and family, Mrs. Hattie Jackson and Mrs. Alice Mathews spent Sunday in Fairfax with Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Wigington and Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Jackson.

Bernard, and Ronald Harris returned to Washington, D. C. on Monday after spending the summer vacation with Mrs. Roberta Russell.
