In the Town of Sperryville on the same day, a 1959 Ford owned and operated by Otis Stonewall Kilby was struck in the deft middle when he proceeded onto Route 1001, by David W. Raynor driving a 1959 Ford.
At 5:45 about a mile and onehalf east of Ben Venue a 1951 Buick was demolished when another vehicle forced the driver, Fred D. Johnson, off the road and he hit a bridge abutment. Johnson was not injured.
Officer John Lowman investigated these three accidents.
Sunday, September 11 at 4:20 p.m. on Route 211 one and onehalf miles east of Sperryville in front of John Wayland’s a 1946 Ford convertible owned and operated
by John Russell Grjgsby of Castleton pulled on to the highway in front of a 1959 Ford sedan owned and operated by Daniel Fletcher of Washington, Va. No injury resulted and damages to the vehicles were approximately $350.
Trooped W. A. Buntin was the officer investigating this accident.
